Dear Parents:

Each year I ask parents to become involved in NABA by coaching or volunteering in some capacity.  NABA is an all-volunteer organization and its vitality and viability are dependent on volunteers.  If you ever considered becoming more involved in NABA, and indirectly in your child’s non-academic pursuits, one way to do so is by serving on NABA’s Executive Board.

Prior to its April Board meeting each year, NABA accepts nominations for positions on its Executive Board for the coming Year (September through the following May).  All Executive Board positions must be filled by annual election.  There are nine Executive Board positions:  President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Boys Coordinator, Girls Coordinator, Tournament Coordinator, Summer Program Coordinator and School District Liaison.  Some of the current Executive Board members have indicated that they will seek election to the positions they are presently holding, those positions being President, Vice President, Treasurer, Girls Coordinator and School District Liaison.  The following Executive Board positions will be open next year:  Secretary, Boys Coordinator, Tournament Coordinator and Summer Program Coordinator.  A description of each of the Executive Board positions can be found on NABA’s website (www.nabball.org).

The next NABA Board Meeting will be held on April 2, 2008.  If you are interested in any of the Executive Board positions, and wish to nominate yourself for one of those positions, you must advise me prior to April 2, 2008.  Please either call me on my cell phone (412-855-5289) or contact me by email (dondulac@watkinsdulac.com).  In either case, if you send an email to me or leave a voicemail message on my cell, please clearly state your name and return phone number or email address so that I can confirm your interest.

Elections will be held at NABA’s Board Meeting on May 7, 2008.  The May Board Meeting will be held in one of the classrooms at NASH, the exact location of which will be announced later on NABA’s website.

Please consider getting involved in NABA.

                                                                                                Very truly yours,

                                                                                                Don Dulac, President
