General Game Rules
These Rules apply to all Leagues:
1. All teams play two (2) – Twenty (20) minutes Half’s.
2. The clock is a running clock except for:
The first shot on all shooting fouls. If a player is fouled, and it is a two shot or one & one situation, the clock will stop. As soon as the Referee administers the ball to the shooter on the first foul shot, the clock will be started.
All Time-Outs.
The last minute (60 seconds) of each half where the clock will stop on all whistles.
3. Each Team is allowed three (3) – 45 second time-outs per game.
4. Half-Time is three (3) minutes long.
5. There is free substitution throughout the game; the officials will wave the player(s) on when they deem it appropriate.
6. If a player receives a technical foul, the player must sit for the remained of the half. If the player receives a second technical, the player is ejected from the game and the opposing coach should report the player to the League Commissioner for potential disciplinary action.
7. The league will enforce equal playing time for all participants. Which means everybody plays and everybody sits on the bench an equal amount of time. Coaches that violate this rule will not be invited to any post-season playoffs.
8. All other NFHS basketball rules apply.
